Please read carefully: This telecaster was self- imported by the previous owner from Japan because the best fenders produced by Fender Japan don't leave the country, in other words Fenders made for the european and US market are a little lower in quality. This guitar is sort of a 62 custom reissue except this one has a maple fretboard instead of the more common rosewood. > The guitar has a bridge plate which was a leftover from the mid eightees A- serialnumber plates. So there are actally 2 serial numbers, one on the plate and one on the headstock. This is the original situation, i checked it with a Japan specialist on the different Fender forums. After I purchased it, The guitar has been modified in the following way by Danny Marcovich at Dirk Witte in 2004: > A Gibson Vintage '57 Humbucker with chrome cover in the neck position > A Gibson 498T "Hot Alnico" pickup with chrome cover in the Bridge position > A new bridge plate to accommodate the Humbucker > A 5-way switch to give multiple switching options between single coil and humbucker > A dark tortoise Fender pickguard > Both the top and backside were Buffed with PU compound to make it like glass Min punten- some damage on back (small) and some wear use on front. Otherwise a very unique instrument that captures the character of both Telecaster and Gibson Les Paul depending on how you switch it or play it. More than €500 invested in this guitar on modification, adjustment and pickups. This is a serious guitar for a serious buyer. Firm on €850... Includes soft case and original pickups.
