Hieronder enige info over dit vlaggenschip. The name »Augusta« derives from »Augusta Vindelicorum«, the latin name for Augsburg where the workshop is situated. This model is a hommage to the great guitar-builder John D'Angelico. The ornamentations in renaissance style are motives taken from Augsburg's history. The figure on the headstock is the roman god »Mercury«. The original statue can be seen on a fountain. The inlays on the fingerboard are stylised pineal nuts, which form the the crest of the city. Reference: The J-18 Augusta is also played by Ulrich Hoffmeier of the renowned Palast Orchester from Berlin. This Beautiful 400 Style Guitar has a lovely acoustic and Electric Tone, and is in a like new condition and comes with a Humbucking floating pickup. Specificatians: Body size 18" + (we measured 18.45") The construcition is of All Solid woods, with Spruce top and flame maple back/sides, Scale lenght, 25.4 " (645mm) Neck width at Nut: 1& 3/4"(44,5mm) Neck thickness 1st fret: 21 mm/0.82", 10th fret: 23mm/0.90" Standard list Price in this setup would be 5.750 including the Calton case and pickup.
